Getting to the record without a screen. Every full-record page on this site downloads as a braille-ready file, formatted at 40 cells by 25 lines, and any card or page prints in an ink-light layout; the whole site works from a keyboard. The city publishes many of its own records, including Form 700s and recusal notices, as scanned documents rather than as data, and screen readers often cannot read them; that gap is the city's format, and we name it rather than hide it.
Where the information comes from. Every figure, name, and list on this site is drawn from public records published by government agencies, principally the San Francisco Ethics Commission and DataSF, and is shown as filed or as published. We reorganize and summarize those records; we do not create them, and we do not verify their contents. Some figures are computed from raw filings (sums, rankings, approximate counts) and may differ from official totals; some are snapshots dated on the card rather than live.
No guarantee. Records change daily, filings are amended, and lists are updated on the agencies' own schedules. Nothing on this site is guaranteed to be complete, current, or free of error. Where this site and an official record disagree, the official record is correct. Every card links to the record it came from; please rely on that record, not on our summary, for any decision.
About people named here. A person's appearance on this site reflects only what a public record says: that a contribution was reported, a trip was disclosed, a contact was logged, or a required statement had not been received by a date the agency states. It is not a finding of wrongdoing, a determination of any kind, or a statement about the contents of any filing. This site reports filings; it does not characterize anyone's conduct. Names are shown as they appear in the source. The unfiled list is reproduced from the Ethics Commission's published list dated June 1, 2026, which by the commission's own rule removed anyone who filed by May 31, 2026 and was not updated afterward. Photographs appear only for public figures from openly licensed sources, credited in the information panel; private individuals are never pictured.
A request about how this is used. The records here are public, and they are about public decisions. They are not meant to be joined with other data to locate, profile, or contact private individuals, including the staff named on the city's unfiled list. We ask people, and the automated systems people run, to use this site to understand decisions, not to find people. Our own tools follow the same care: nothing here resolves a private person's name to a photo, an address, or any other record.
Images. Photographs are from openly licensed sources and are credited in the information panel. If you hold rights in an image shown here, or are pictured and want a photo removed, contact OtherPowers at otherpowers.co; we act on it promptly.
Not legal, financial, or voting advice. Descriptions of laws, deadlines, and procedures (including voter registration dates and filing rules) are our plain-language reading as understood on the build date shown in the information panel, and may be out of date. They are not legal advice. Confirm dates and requirements with the California Secretary of State, the San Francisco Department of Elections, or the Ethics Commission before acting.
Use. The underlying public records belong to the public. Our arrangement, design, and text are licensed for noncommercial reuse with attribution to PublicPowers and a link to the source record. Trademarks, logos, and names of organizations are used only to identify them. This site sets no cookies for tracking and collects no personal information beyond what your browser sends to load a page.
Third-party services. The page is served by Cloudflare. Live figures are fetched in your browser from DataSF (data.sf.gov) and the boundary files the city publishes. Photographs and logos are fetched from Wikimedia Commons and Wikipedia, or as an organization's site icon from Google's favicon service, through a small OtherPowers relay that caches only the image address and its credit. Each of those services has its own terms and privacy practices, which we do not control.
Links to other sites. Links marked with the outward arrow leave this site. We do not control and are not responsible for the content, availability, or accuracy of the sites they open, including city and state sites.
Accessibility. Built to WCAG 2.2 Level AA, with AAA contrast and target sizes throughout, a motion pause, keyboard operation of every control, and braille file downloads. If something here does not work with the way you read, move, or listen, tell OtherPowers at otherpowers.co and we will address it.
No warranty; limitation. This site is provided as is, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. To the fullest extent permitted by law, OtherPowers is not liable for any loss or damage arising from use of, or reliance on, this site or the records it summarizes. Nothing here limits rights that cannot be limited by law.
Your information. This site sets no cookies for tracking, runs no analytics, and collects no personal information. Your browser sends the ordinary information needed to load a page (such as an address and browser type) to Cloudflare and to the services above, subject to their practices. Under California law you may have rights regarding personal information; we hold none about you to disclose, correct, or delete.
Changes. This notice and the site change as records and rules change. The build date in the information panel is the date this notice was last reviewed. Where language here describes law, deadlines, or platform behavior, it is our plain reading as understood on that date and not legal advice; a legal review is part of our process, and questions about your own situation belong with a lawyer or the agency concerned.
